 What's people experience with frequent flyer credit cards in terms of which one is best for earning points.

A good website for comparing cards is Click4Credit.com.au who have many of the cards available and some have a points calculator.

The AMEX rewards maximizer sounds good as has no annual fee in first year and earns 1.5 points per $1 spent but then annual fee is higher in second year. Guess it's a trade off.

The reward point is nothing but something to attract more customers. Its totally a Trade off. The things they give out is not that worthy. And you will do things like ooow i have to spend just 200$ the reach the point for the desired gift and there you spend more.

The choice of credit card depends on the requirements of the customer. Rewards on not just the only factor on deciding upon the credit card. You may have to check the other factors like yearly fee etc.

But as you mentioned , you want opinion on cards which is best for earning maximum rewards and my vote goes for ANZ .
